A Practice Code Number (PCN) is allocated based on the authority granted to the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) by the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) to allocate PCNs to suppliers of relevant healthcare services. The BHF’s PCN unit (“PCNS”) is the entity tasked with the administration of practice code numbers.

This notice serves to inform you that the 2023 Annual Renewal Registration fee is now due and is payable within 30 days. The 2023 PCNS annual fee is R375. 00 vat inclusive. The PCN System is administered by BHF in accordance with Regulations 1 and 5 of the Medical Schemes Act (Act 131 of 1998).

BHF. Register with BHF (Board of Healthcare Funders) for a PCNS (Practice Code Number System) number. This will essentially be your practice number. You will need to make a small annual payment to BHF for your registration with them for as long as you continue to practice with your practice number.
