What does MetroFibre do?
Now operating nationally, MetroFibre owns and manages South Africa’s first globally compliant Carrier Ethernet 3.0 (CE 3.0) open access fibre network, over which it connects businesses and individuals to the internet, cloud, data centres, voice and Internet Service Providers with their customers.
How long does it take for MetroFibre to activate?
within 24-48 hours
After the router has been successfully installed, the service is activated within 24-48 hours. As soon as the Link and Auth lights on the router is solid green, the fibre service is active.
Is Metro fiber good?
MyBroadband’s latest broadband survey results show that MetroFibre Networx’s fibre service was rated as the best fixed broadband service in South Africa.
How many devices can connect to MetroFibre?
MetroFibre strongly recommends that a maximum of three devices be connected via hardwired Ethernet LAN. These should be high throughput devices, such as a TV or PC used for streaming. Note: the network will become slower as you connect more devices.
